Glass Chosen by Heat
Tempered soda lime suits fixtures where the glass stays below about 220 °C. Above roughly 150 W, as in stage lights, we move to borosilicate. Stove and furnace windows need ceramic glass, rated for 700 °C.
LED lighting glass for in-ground, wall, flood and stage fixtures, and windows for stoves and appliances.
Stepped, ceramic printed, tempered and AR coated to fit your housing.
Tell us the lamp power, the seal type and where the fixture is installed.

The step that seats on an O-ring or silicone bead decides whether an IP67 or IP68 fixture stays dry. We hold CNC step faces to ±0.05 mm, against ±0.1 mm on the rest of the outline.
Wall and ceiling fixtures usually take 3–6 mm glass. In-ground lights that people walk or drive over need 10–19 mm tempered glass rated IK09 or IK10, with an anti-slip surface texture.
Ordinary epoxy ink can peel or fade within one or two years outdoors. For borders and masks on outdoor and hot fixtures, we print ceramic frit, which fuses into the glass at about 700 °C while it is tempered.
Ultra-clear glass passes 91.5% of visible light, losing most of the rest to reflection at its two surfaces. AR coating on both sides lifts that above 98%, which is why grow lights and precision spotlights use it.
A hot mirror passes visible light and reflects infrared back toward the lamp, keeping heat off whatever sits in front. A cold mirror does the reverse, reflecting light forward and letting heat out of the back of the reflector.
Our lighting glass is fully tempered to EN 12150, with surface compression above 69 MPa. In the fragmentation test, a broken panel must show at least 40 particles in a 50 × 50 mm square; our tempered lenses break into more than 60, small and blunt enough for fixtures installed where people walk.
Send the housing drawing with the lamp power, seal design and installation. We choose the glass by temperature, set the thickness by load and impact, and mark which step faces carry the seal tolerance.
Samples are cut, stepped, printed and tempered on the production route, so you can test the seal, the light output and the print border in the real fixture before ordering.
Production lenses are tempered in batches, with fragmentation checked on broken samples from each run, and every lens is inspected for size, print and surface before packing.
Discs from 10 mm, strips to 1200 mm, panels to drawing.
Seal steps, slots and cutouts machined while annealed.
Masks, borders and dot patterns printed in ceramic frit.
Glass tempered and frit fused in the same firing.
AR applied after tempering; size and print checked.
Include the outline, step detail, thickness, lamp power, print and quantity.
